Misha

Hi Misha! We had our appointment yesterday w/ Ian at Hank Lane in the Roslyn office. We were very happy w/ the results of the meeting, but I have a couple of questions for you. If I recall correctly you booked the Jeff Lubin band for your wedding, was this suggested to you? or did you hear about them? Are you getting married on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday? The reason for this question is Ian told us there was a significant price difference between a Saturday evening and all the other days. I was wondering if it's not to personal (or if you want to e-mail me privately) how much you are paying for the band? I know there are factors involved(day, month, etc.) so my date may be in a different price category(Friday evening, August 2, 2002). We were quoted $5,900 for eight pieces. Thanks for your help, we just want to know if he was being honest with us. -Heather

Hi Heather, We were actually booked with the Arthur Stewart band. I have no idea what the difference is between their bands! I wish I did. Anyway, our wedding is on a Sunday night, 5-9 and they quoted us $5800 for 7 pieces and I think it was $100/hour per band member if we wanted the cocktail or ceremony additionally. Sounds like our quotes were pretty similar but you are getting an extra piece. Could you figure out how they chose your band? I couldn't and would love to know...

Did you also listen to a cd? What type of music do they do? Ian did not even mention any of their other bands. I know he picked out this band according to our music tastes for the evening. We wanted a band that was able to do many different styles of music( i.e. Motown to Frank Sinatra).I just want to know if he was being honest w/ us about the price.I feel confident about their reputation and I don't doubt that they are all good bands. Thanks for your help!
