Missing Gift- Do I say someting?

Ok, so we are missing an envelope from one of my co-workers...

I *think* I remember her handing me an envelope that night, but it is NOWHERE to be found...

Should I ask her about it? or just let it go? I'm worried if there was cash in it, and someone took it...

I know she would have given a gift, b/c she couldn't attend my shower, but made a big point of still giving me shower gifts at work, adn took me out to lunch and we went to her car to get htem, etc...

What do I do?????

I'd like to know too because the same thing happened to us. In our case it was one of my former co-workers AND ONE OF MY BRIDESMAIDS!!! I am a little furious at both of them.

I would say something...because if they did give you a card and a check was in it...you dont want someone else finding that check.

I would word it like this...my photographer found a enevelope in the parking lot with a card and check in it...we were concerned that someone was messing with the gifts, since we know of a few that went missing. We couldn't find yours...and I want to make sure that if there was a check in there you that you are aware that it went missing so you can call the bank to stop payment.

but tell the person face to face so you can see their reaction

Yes say something.

This happened to me. A friend left it in his car.

And my cousin, who I was mad at for other reasons (too long to get into here) wrote me a check and it bounced. We came home ro a $25. fee on our account. I finally got in touch with him on Saturday (more than one month later) and he said he mailed another out a few days previous... oh, well, whatever, if it doesn't come tomorrow he's a lying sack of !@#$
