OK so, While I was @ job #2 today, our personalized M&M's arrived at my house that we are using as part of our favors for the engagement party. I ran home before racing to FH's house to see American Idol on TIVO (I got out of work @ 9), ripped open the box and saw our aqua and white M&M's which read the following...

Here's the best part - the party is 6/14/08

The WEDDING is on the 25th of July... next year-
This is a sign that I need to slow down.

FH laughed at me - but then he said that we will go to Party City and buy the solid colored ones to replace the dated ones. Then he helped me seperate the mistakes. I'm still upset.

I think you should use them as save the dates, give them in little bags the night of the engagement party with a note saying save the date. That way you still get to use them. Just a suggestion!

Awe, thanks guys... I actually feel alot better! My dad is a funny guy... he started scratching the date off with a knife of the ones that say 'Thanks! 6/25/08' (after washing his hands of course) and since the color stayed on, we might just do that- You are all giving me the confidence to contact the M&Ms company though and explain the situation- maybe I can at least get a discount... I would probably only have to order a few bags with all of them saying the date cuz our names came out fine.

For the girl who asked about the writing, its not that bad... I'm not gonna lie- it looks like regular typeface and was crooked or smeared on some of them... I'm not sure that if I had seen them in person I wouldv'e actually spent the 80$ to do it... but, if this is the worst thing that happens, I think I'm still doing a pretty good job! Thanks Again Ladies
