My mom seems to be having a hard time finding a dress. She is 5'11' and everything is short on her and no of the dresses she's chosen can be made longer. We went to Clifford Michael in the city and the dress she fell in love with is $4000.
Anyone else's mother tall and need a longer dress? Where did she go?

if you live near Huntington, try Carmela's Bridal Garden, they have a wide selection of MOB dresses, my mom ordered hers from there and they are fabulous

i went to Carmela's and ordered my dress and MOBs dress. They were fantastic and so personable! They helped me bring in tons of dresses - then I fell in love with one on display - tried it on and knew immediately that it was the one. MOB wears a plus size and they made her feel comfortable and found a beautiful gown for her too!! Im so excited Ive never seen my mom in a gown before - and she's just as excited.
My sisters are also getting married. They went into The wedding Ctr in Commack - and no one would help them! They asked for a manager and a woman said she was the manager and wouldnt let them try on dresses nor talk to them and give em advice cause their weddings are in early 08 and it was 'too soon' for them to look. I think that they were ignored because all the girls in my family look young. Regardless, I decided at that point that I am boycotting that store.
