Re: mob dress

Hi I am a mom and just got my dress. I hated the traditional dresses. I went to moonlight couture in Merrick and to Paradise bridal in Patchogue but then ordered it from Phyliss at Bridal elegance in Dix Hills since she was $300 cheaper. It is a jovani 2007. I found that those two stores had a large selection of all different styles. Also I went to PM boutique in Oceanside. They were expensive but taught me a lesson on what kind of dress was best for my body type. Good luck

MY FMIL purchased her dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, where I also bout my dress.
She just has to start trying on different types of dresses to get an idea of how they look on her, and then narrow it down to a particular style and color. My FMIL picked out dresses that looked great on the hanger, but did nothing for her.

My mom bought her dress at Lynbrook bridal. Pics are in my album!
It only took a few weeks to come in because the manufacturer had it in stock!

My mom got her dress at Metamorphasis in St. James. She had also tried on dresses at Helen's (Wedding World) in Commack, the Wedding Center, and Bridal Suite in Centereach.

My step-mom got her dress at Eva's in Sayville - she said they were really nice there and had a good selection.

My FMIL got her dress at Bridal Suite in Centereach.

def. check out Metamorphis in St. James. Best service hands down. Largest MOB selection and many different styles/sizes to try on. Not everything is a 10, you know what I mean.

Lord & Taylor's in the city. My mom was like that too. Both she and my MIL got their dresses right off the rack there and they both looked terrific. My mom waited until a month before my wedding to shop because she was dieting like crazy.

My mom and i don't like the typical MOB dresses. I think they tend to look too old ladyish. This is the dres she got at Bridal Elegance in Dix Hills

Re: mob dress

I think my mom bought one for my wedding already, and while she will prolly end up returning it and changing her mind before the wedding, she got it at Talbots of all places. But my mom also doesn't like traditional MOB dresses for herself. Other good places to try may be the department stores. They usually have a wide variety of styles and colors etc.
