MOB Dress help!

My mom can't seem to find anything out there...does anyone have recommendations for where to look? She feels that a lot of the MOB dresses are to much for her.

Any suggestions??

Believe it or not I just went thru this my FMIL and looked all over the place either the gowns were cheaply made or way tooo much money. We ended up at Eleanore Schain in Mill Basin,Brooklyn, it is a boutique, my FMIL was willing to spend up to 1,000 and got her dress for about 500.00 and it was classy and not made cheap and she can so totally wear it again on a cruise etc.

I don't know if she tried Totally You in Merrick yet but my mother, grandmother and 2 great aunts all got their dresses there - great selections and prices were 100-300 LESS than other places we looked. Good luck!

my Mom is anti MOB dress lady and she found a very simple and elegant dress at Adrienne's in Islip- she LOVED the women there too- have her check it out.. (I know it wasn't cheap though- she paid $500 at least.).

Have you tried stores like Bloomingdales? My mom felt like the MOB dresses were too ornate or overdone or too old for her (my mom is a young-style mom). She wound up getting two dresses from Lestans in Brooklyn that were gorgeous but we had originally found a few we liked in Bloomingdales (my mom hadn't never even stepped foot in that store before I brought her there) and they were very reasonable. I think we looked in like June of last year and found some great sales (my brother was getting married in August and she needed a dress). (We actaully bought one as her backup - before we found the dress she loved in Lestan's).

My Mom found hers at Estelles Dressy Dresses. It's beautiful and it was fairly inexpensive. It's a Mori Lee. Here's a pic. It came with a wrap also. I think Estelle's the best place to try first because it has such a huge selection and the prices are great.

I second Estelle's. FH and I were there yesterday to look for a stole for my mom. I hate the store, but sometimes you can find great deals!

My mom got her dress on sale at Lord & Taylor for $70!!! Saw the same one in Macy's for $170!

Married life is good- I'm glad to have everything die down-
did you heard Todd & Kristin had the twins? Danielle says they are SO CUTE! I'm glad she had an OK delivery because I heard the horror stories of her pregnancy- totally stinks.

Really check out Adriennes- I know your mom and she would totally wear what my Mom wore....

I would suggest your mom look even in department stores or even at BM dresses .My mom has a hot bod and looks FABULOUS, and I know she will go for something not MOB-ish.
