It looks kind of white to me - not diamond white or white white... but more like a pearl white. I've only seen this pic. it's ordered and altered and in her posession.
I'm scared it's too light.
What do you think?
Would you wear this to a wedding? Would you walk the bride down the aisle in this?
And yes I know people will know I'm the bride and I'll have the veil and all.... but isn't this kind of white?? And I'm thinking about walking down the aisle and then pics. If it looks this white in pics now.
I don't know. My mother wants to wear white and my BM wants to get married on my wedding day. What could be next?? Am I jinxing myself by even asking??
UPDATE: She came over with it. It looks more silver when not in natural sunlight. But it's still VERY LIGHT and VERY ORNATE and very competitive with my dress. My dress isn't sooo detailed. It would have looked funny for her to walk me down the aisle. I was more like... it's not as bad as I thought it would be. It's OK. She obviously could see that I wasn't happy with it. So i took a picture of her dress and put that picture next to the picture of my dress and her and her friend both saw what I was talking about. She agreed to get another dress to walk me down the aisle in and for pictures. Then she will put this dress on for the reception. I told her... it's not even so much me... but other people will talk about you in that dress. I felt sooo bad for her and for the dress. She felt horrible. She was crying at my house then she went home and called me and cried again. She was saying 'your stupid mother bought the wrong dress'. she said she wanted to buy a dress she loved and her focus was on it not looking like a brides dress and she wasn't focused on how the 2 dresses would look together side by side. She was also thinking about it for the in person factor... not for pictures. In pictures her dress reflects light soo much that it looks lighter and the crystals really show. In pictures of my dress... my beading and stuff doens't show... so her's actually looks more flashy in pictures than mine does. Bottom line... she felt really bad and she's getting a 2nd dress. WOW this whole thing was hard. I knew she would feel bad. She was very excited about this dress.

The dress itself is gorgeous, the cut, the design everything, but IMO i think its a little bit too close to the white family. Think about the pics you will be taking in different light. It might look very similar in color to yours.
I do think the dress is gorgeous though. Is there another color it can come in? I hope you dont think Im being a c u next tuesday.

It's tooooo light. I think it's uncomfortably too white. People are going to talk about her. And they are right!!!
What is wrong with these people? can't I get a break??? I have a BM getting married on my wedding day... a mother who is walking me down the aisle in white... my grandmother is a loon. and other stuff but I wont go on. I keep getting hit with this crap. it's unbelievable.
She's supposed to bring it by tonight. i told her if it's too light she's not walking me down the aisle and i'm going down alone. I don't care. enough is enough.

Ask your mom to change it. If it's going to make you feel like sh*t over it and make you have a change in heart over whether have her walking you down the aisle or not, then tell her to change the color.
Plus, its not too late. She still has a month to go. My mom returned her first MOB gown and bought another one 2 weeks before the wedding.

Did she have it altered before she returned it? My mother had this dress altered.
It is too light if you ask me. And i think it's rude! And it's hurtful that it's my own mother. And of course my grandmother saw the dress and thinks it's great... but she hates me for no reason... so she would think that.

i think it is too light also... wait.... is there anywhere she can add a sash or something??? the appliques.. maybe change them to a color.. lt blue, lt purple... add some color somewhere to the dress and it could work!!

it has more embellishments than my dress has. My dress is the same material and beading from top to bottom. No material break up or anything.

the way the dress is... I don't think she can add a sash. And I have a sash so I'm not even suggesting it. she's probably go and buy an actual white sash at this point anyway.
I think I'll end up walking down alone. i'll give myself away. I know though when I bring that up and change it... they are going to blame me for being a b!tchy selfish bride.

My sorry hun, Id be upset too. I had my SIL wedding last weekend and my MIL, her mother of course, wore a white dress. She said it was ivory but, it was white.

I don't understand people!!
the WORST part is she's supposed to walk me down the aisle... and we are going to blend. I was sooooo looking forward to walking down the aisle - that was one of the big moments i was looking forward to. Well that's been killed. I'm def not looking forward to that anymore.
