Having MOB dress trouble! She's very picky and doesn't want a typical gown with jacket number. Any good shops you girls can recommend? I don't care where it is!! Thanks so much ladies!

Re: MOB dress stores?
my mom got hers at bridal elegance. its actually a prom gown but on her it doesnt at all look that way. here it is except hers will be in bordeaux red: funny thing is my mom is plus size and i never thought shed end up with a strapless!! but she loves it and it took 15lbs off of her so she bought it!!
also try RK - they have a huge selection.

I second that.... I took my enigmatic mom there after showing her literally a hundred dresses, and we both walked out happy in about an hour!
I second that. My FMIL got her dress there and it's beautiful.
Macy's also has MOB type dresses, and my mom got hers there. I haven't seen it yet, but my sister said it's really pretty.

Re: MOB dress stores?
My mom found her dress in Bridal Suite of centereach but ordered it in Paradise b/c she gets 10% off dress and she liked what they did for my bros wedding. They didn't have the Jade/Jasmine line, thats the only reason we didn't find it there. And she was very very very picky!
My mom was the same way. We went everywhere! - bridal shops, departments stores, etc. I finally convince her to go to Estelles on 110 in Farmingdale. The have a section called Estelles 2, with much nicer (more upscale) dresses then the rest of the store (pricier too). And she got her dress there last week and loves it! Even found shoes and a bag.

Try Angel Bridals on Montauk Hwy. in East Islip. They were very attentive and helped my mother select ther right gown to suit her figure (and budget). Their seamstress has also been there for over 20 years and is excellent.

Re: MOB dress stores?
My mom, who couldn't find a dress ANYWHERE went with me to Lord & Taylor one day and picked out 8 dresses!!! She opened a credit card there and they took whatever % off plus there was a coupon and she took either 6 or all 8 dresses home with her!!!! (understanding that she could return them before the wedding for full price as long as the tags were still on them) She brought them home and modeled them for my dad and my grandma (who had just gotten out of the hospital and wasn't up to coming shopping) and narrowed it down to 2. She didn't choose the one she was definitely wearing until about 2 weeks before my wedding. The she got her shoes died to match and luckily, didn't need any alterrations. i would definitely suggest giving Lord & Taylor a look.
