Any ideas on good places to go to for MOB dresses? My mom wants to start looking already as she is really particular as to what she wants (she wants something with sheer or 3/4 length sleeves), but doesn't want to spend a fortune on one. All the ones we saw so far were like $500 and up! Is that normal? Thanks.

My mom also wanted sheer or 3/4 sleeves. I don't remember where we went, but she tried on a bunch of dresses by Jovani that all had what she was looking for. (They have a web site, but none of the dresses she tried on are on the web site.)
My mom doesnt want anything too matronly so she has been trying on conservative BM dresses.

My Mom and I went to Beautiful Bride in Lynbrook. They were fantstic!!!
They discouraged styles that were too matronly, and said to her you are a very important person at this wedding and we're going to help you look great. And they did!!!
They are also very willing to alter designs, change sleeve length, get a different color from the vendor.
Also very reasonanle prices.
Here's her dress, she's getting it in Navy and having the sleeves shortened to 3/4 length.
Try the Wedding Center in Commack. They have so many to choose from and they're reasonable! You can get one with long sleeves and then shorten them! GL
