MOB Reader??

Hey ladies -- Does anyone know if there is a 'protocol' for choosing the readers?

My mother apparently feels that my uncle wouldn't be appropriate to do the reading because he's not religious enough (mind you, I'm not particularly religious either) so she wants to do it instead. I suppose I shouldn't be too annoyed considering its truly the first demand she has made but anyway....

Can the MOB also be a reader? Are there any rules about this kind of thing?

I don't think theres a rule, but if she's anything like my mother she'll be crying though the whole thing......
My mother did a reading for my cuz wedding it took her a good ten minutes to get though it
Thats why I wouldn't have my mother do one for mine.........

But I think it would be nice.....

i think anyone can do a reading but I think you should choose the people you want.

i think the mob is a perfect reader..very personal choice, i would like it

Thanks for all your input girls. I just have to cross my fingers that she doesn't lose it while she's up there. I have a feeling she is going to be more emotional than she anticipates. Plus, I think she is only offering to do it because she doesn't want my uncle to do it.
