Modern Halls

Are there any MODERN looking halls/reception sites in LI? MY experience is all these sites look old to me. Like 60s-80s. #ugh

The Metropolitan in Glen Cove is modern and stunning. No rugs or chandeliers just clean and elegant, and reasonably priced

Re: Modern Halls

are you totally set on long island? in liberty state park (jersey city) there's maritime parc which is modern, contemporary, hip, etc. we checked it out... VERY cool! unfortunately, it was also out of our budget. but if you're looking for modern, you'll definitely get it there, that's for sure!

I highly recommend Lombardi's on the Bay in Patchogue. It was completely renovated within the last few years. It is so classy and clean but also has modern touches. It is kind of small with a max of 160 but it is just perfect for us.

Check out LoveyDovey's pictures. She did an amazing job taking pictures!

the outdoor area for Woodbury Country Club, Chauteau Briand and Crest Hollow Country Club in my opinion are all very modern very loungey south beach feeling if thats what your looking for

Re: Modern Halls

the north ritz club is more modern feeling, but still classic (i'm booked there and somewhat biased).

what exactly are you looking for? a non-catering hall type of place???? if that's the case, then look into non-traditional places like the vineyards or places in manhattan/brooklyn. i can suggest some loft like places, but you'll pay a lot for the site fee and set up costs.

If you are open to Brooklyn, I had my wedding at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios. It is totally a modern and elegant space and it was awesome.

I second this - my friend got married there in may and it was definitely much more modern that a lot of the catering halls on LI.

The Royalton

none of these have carpet except North Ritz but North Ritz is fairly new

I have never been to Jericho Terrace but the pics always look pretty, they have gorgeous ceilings...so they might be worth checking out

if you're ok with the city then check these places too

Stage 6

The foundry

Pier Sixty or the Lighthouse

3 West Club

Manhattan Penthouse

OLD FIELD CLUB!!! No carpeting in the RH at all!! It's on the water and has cathedral ceilings! It's very different not your 'typical' RH

Re: Modern Halls

I have also been looking for a modern venue. I have been to weddings at most catering halls and wanted something different. Most modern/lounge type venues I have visited are located in LIC or Manhattan, but I did find TWO in New Hyde Park to be very modern and unique.
