check out what I just got from west elm.... and they were under $40 after monogramming, tax and shipping! I love them.... (Ignore the other glasses in the pic)
Silly question - did you just order them or just receive them. I ask because I'm wondering if it feels weird at all to be drinking from the metal edge... I think they're so pretty, but will it feel funny? Especially if the champagne is cold?

Usually, when glasses have a platinum or gold edge it is a paint, not actual metal... so it still feels and acts like glass...
The one restriction with these items (and with gold/platinum edged china) is that it can't go in the dishwasher, becuase the detergent scours off the gilt edging

I got the last name initial... so one letter, and the monogram will be a bit different than the one in the picture. The one in the picture has the letter 'filled in' with etching, while ours will be more subtle, it will be only the outline of the letter, with the center remaining clear glass...
they actually have 6 different monogram options on their site!

Great, thanks! I'm actually considering ordering these as champagne flutes for our home/guests (I ordered a pair for our wedding). I'm assuming if you order them monogrammed you can't return them so I have to think about it.

oh, they also come in boxes of 4, not 2..... so they are MEGA cheap... but if you want them, you must rush and order them. West elm clearance items disappear really quickly! I also suspect that monogrammed items can't be returned...
Thanks, I'm kinda laughing at myself cuz I already had another window open with them there! I'm just debating whether or not to buy!
ETA: Decided to order them for our home. I checked their return policy and nothing about not being able to return monogrammed items - it says 30 days for all products!
