Larkfield just finished renovations. It's all brand new and gorgeous. They're actually still working on getting their garden area done.

Inn at New Hyde Park was pretty new as well, but I don't know if I would call it 'modern' per se.

the metropolitan. and their food is really good too!

(*edit*) They were second on my list. They lost out to Floral Terrace because of $$$

(*edit 2*) You might also want to consider Woodbury... although if you want to be really particular they are more 'contemporary' than modern.

Harbor Club at Prime, Mediterranean Manor, Insignia, Chateau Briand (more Contemporary than modern.. look online). Larkfield is new, but more Tuscan than modern.

The only venue we physically went and saw that was modern to us was the Village Club of Lake Success, which is also the venue you decided on. Don't be fooled by the outside of it, the reception room has the feel of a Manhattan loft almost.

I have only been to Chateau Briand for a party before. I need to schedule some appointments and would like a contemporary/modern venue. Just trying to cross off the outdated venues first. You know the ones with rugs that look like they are from the 1800s. Lolll

I was going to say Chateau Briand but contemporary is an interesting yet accurate choice of word, lol
