MOH/BM problem....HELP

Ok, I am getting married abroad and b/c of that are only having about 50 or so guests at my wedding. FH and I have decided we are only having a BM and MOH.....the problem with that is I have 2 best friends.
I know who I want to be my MOH and have already asked her....but I am clueless on how to break it to my other best friend...I know that she will be incredibly hurt. I actually think that if it came down to it, that she is confident I would pick her (b/c I have known her longer and kind of grew up with her)....
AHHHHH
I really don't want to hurt anyones feelings but I know that that is inevitable.....

Added to say - I am also the MOH in the wedding of the girl I asked to be mine.....

Help....

Re: MOH/BM problem....HELP

Would your current MOH be upset if you asked both to take on the duty and they split the responsibilty? Or maybe you can ask the BM to do something special..like a reading at the ceremony? I think if you make it clear that she is as important as your MOH it may lessen the chance of her feelings being hurt.

Re: MOH/BM problem....HELP

I think that's the best choice. I know someone who is having 3 MOH's (no Brides Maids) because she just could not choose.

Good luck with this! I had to do this too. She will be hurt, but if she is your friend, I think she will totally understand.

Re: MOH/BM problem....HELP

i went through the same situation.....i decided not to choose one friend over the other because there was really no reason to favor one over the other - they were both equally good friends....plus, i would not want that done to me....my advice is - either have them both as MOH or neither...sorry if i am making this even harder

Re: MOH/BM problem....HELP

Thanks for the advice!!! I think I am as confused as ever....
I have thought about having them both, but then FH thinks he will have to ask another (not to make it even, but just b/c he has 2 friends equally good as well) and then we just get into that whole 'well not that we have 4 should we just ask the others'.....blah blah blah

But I think in this case - you are right.....
I think I have to ask them both and BM can just walk down the aisle with one on each arm???

Thanks girls!

Re: MOH/BM problem....HELP

I really think you should choose both friends.

They seem to be equally important to you.

I would risk having an unequal bridal party for the sake of a good friend.
