MOH & Bridesmaid Prob

MOH & Bridesmaid Prob

My bridesmaid has been really great with everything about the wedding. She has helped me with making my program and research on decoration ideas. She has been more on top of planning my bachelorette party and bridal shower. My MOH hasn't been absent but she's just not as involved. My bridesmaid has been nudging my MOH to finalize the bachelorette party since it'll be happening in a little over month.

I know that people usually give a little extra to their MOH but she hasn't really done that much. She also asked me when is my bridal shower even though I told her already and she is suppose to plan it. I wanted to take my MOH and this bridesmaid to get a manicure and pedicure as an extra gift. Do you think it's wrong not giving my MOH anything special?

No, it's not wrong. I have two MOHs. I asked both right after I got engaged in December 2011 (ladies and gents on here DON'T RUSH ASKING PEOPLE SO FAR IN ADVANCE! Even the longest and oldest relationships change!). Well, the one has been involved with EVERYTHING and has taken such an interest while the other has completely changed as a person. We don't even hangout like we used to. I don't think it's fair that I give both of them some special gift, bc the one doesn't deserve it. I'm going to give the one MOH a special gift in private. I'm also only letting the one give a speech at the wedding.

If she isn't doing anything to help, I wouldn't worry about getting her something extra. I do think it might be a nice idea to get the BM something extra to give in private.

I also don't know if everyone knows that it is customary to give the MOH a little something extra (or at least different). I was just a MOH, and received the exact same gift as the BMs (literally every girl got the exact same thing). And let me tell you, I was no slacker. I feel like I worked harder on her shower than I have on my own wedding. I know I have 6 months to go, but being a MOH was far harder than it's been being a bride.

Seeing it from the other side of the fence, being a MOH isn't always an easy job and I feel that it's important to recognize that and show appreciation to whomever it is whose been there for you throughout it all.

My MOH is a bridesmaid in her other friend's wedding. That friend is a bridezilla from everything she has told me. My MOH tells me all the time that I'm a very relaxed bride.

I'm under the impression that she feels that she doesn't have to put in 100% bc I'm easy going. It kinda hurts my feeling but I don't know if she is as absent with her other friend's wedding. I also don't feel like causing drama
