MOH gift--poll

If you were a MOH, would you rather a $250 gift card to Tiffanys, or would you rather I buy you somehting $250 worth and pick it out myself

My MOH loves tiffanys but I don't know everything she has and wouldn't want to duplicate it. Should I take a chance and then she can always exchange it?

IMO, it's more personal to pick it out yourself. Just get a gift receipt and she can always exchange it if she already has it

I would take the chance. it's much more personal to get an object rather than a GC

That's what I'm thinking. Maybe I'll get her a bracelet, since I'm sure she has more necklaces from them than bracelets.

Pick it out from Tiffany's, I think it would be more sentimental that way. If for some reason she has it already, I'm sure she can exchange it, but definitely take the chance and pick something out for her!

I agree with the rest of the posters. Pick out something you think she likes but doesn't have and hang on to the receipt. If it turns out she needs to exchange it, give her the receipt and she can do that, but it's much more personal to give a specific gift, IMO.
