For my bridal party, I bought the day of necklace and earrings, a beach bag, and sandals to take pics on the beach and I am paying for their hair to be done. I have two MOHs and I probably shouldn't have picked them. They haven't done anything for the shower (i dont' think they're even coming), they didn't get their measurements in, and I haven't heard from them in months unless I call and make the effort etc, etc! Should I get them something extra for being in the wedding like a wristlet, or should I not bother, since I definitely should have picked my other friend as MOH?

Re: MOH gifts
they aren't even coming to your shower??? are they hosting your bachelorette party or incurring any additional expenses? if not, i would not get them anything 'too' extra - - maybe just a little thing

Re: MOH gifts
I think one of them might be coming, but I know the other one isn't b/c she lives in Florida. The Florida MOH is coming up here July 29 for a wedding, and they wanted to do a bachelorette party type thing, with just the three of us, in CT the Friday before that, but it's becoming such a hassle b/c I can't just take off on a Friday (I'm an athletic trainer and there needs to be a certified one on site at all times at sports camp) It's just becoming a pain b/c they're all focused on this bachelorette party, and not really caring what I think about it, and they're not including my 5 other bridesmaids, so who knows what will happen

Thanks.. It's just hard b/c you definitely learn certain things about your friends during the wedding process. I'm just realizing now that my best friend is really selfish, when people have been telling me all along. thanks for your advice though!

I understand what you're going through. All my BM were from OOT and my MOH was from Florida. (She was my sister and she's a single mom raising 2 teenage kids.) I decided to pay for her dress so could use the $ to fly up for the shower. (It was hard since we paid for our own wedding) Not saying that'll work for you, but there might be something that can be done. I didn't tell the other BM though. No need to.

That was nice of you to pay for the flight up for your sister for the shower! I'm glad it worked out for you My MOH has the money to fly up for the shower, that's not what it's really about, I don't expect her to come up twice, I just wish she would be more of a friend. I have other friends that I'm not as close with that call me daily to see if they can help in anyway, it's just the idea that my other friends ask me things, whereas this one has no idea anything about the wedding, nor does she call me or do anything... It just s*cks when you realize things that people have been telling you for years
