MOH NOT DOING HER JOB

I am a little bit upset, my maidoh is not planning my bridal shower, all she talks about is her relationship w/ her bf. I feel down, because I know her for about 19 yrs. A co-worker at my job says she will help do it, but when I asked her should I let my MOH know what she is suppose to do, she said, No! . Don't tell her anything, I will do it for you. In my MOH defense, she has been to plenty weddings, but I don't think she has ever been the MOH & know what her responsibilities are.

Just letting some steam off!!!

I hear you on this - my MOH met with my girls in the beginning of Oct to plan my shower and they agreed she would call my mom and get started well after christmas she hadn't done a single thing BUT asked me all the time about the Bach party - so my BM's took control and talked to mom and did it themselves minus her help. She almost didn't show because she was in atlantic city on the WB morning show - anyway she did show but she was more of a guest than my MOH.

Sorry you are going thru this it is hard

You know, I had wondered how this worked out for you but I couldn't remember who it was that had this problem. Glad she showed up for the shower. Did she make it to the fitting too or no?

You know what I just realized...from another gf...who told me...that ---I WILL GET A WORK BRIDAL SHOWER---

Now, I am feeling REALLY, REALLY BAD!!!

I can't have this poor co-worker, plan 2 things for me!!!! It will be overwhelming....Plus she wants to help out with the favors...

I am calling my MOH...right now...and asking her input...

Ooh, good luck. Maybe you should leave it to your mom to call her though... It might come across as sort of self-serving otherwise.

Eeech...ok!!

But, maybe I can ask her for any ideas...on locations for the bs..I promise, I won't demand anything. I notice that when I am made, I have to wait for 30 mins or so...to cool down.. and THINK!!!

My MOH has never been in a bridal party before.. so she had some idea of what to do but not really... she actually called me and asked me b/c she wanted to make sure she did everything. I told her what I could think of off the top of my head, and I went out and bought her this book..I dont remember the name.. it was all about being a bridesmaid, funny stories, what everyones duties are, and really cute ideas for bachlorette, bridal shower things, thoughtful gifts, even cute things to do for the couple before and on the big day. She really appreciated it!
