To make a long story short, my MOH told be this week that she wanted to bring her boyfriend of a couple months. I have worked and met him before at my last base and do not like him. This week she told me that she wanted to bring him. She didn't RSVP and when we sent out invitations being that its a destination wedding we asked ahead of time if she was going to bring someone. She said no. She didn't RSVP. So, when I told her I didn't want him there, she told me that if he doesn't come, she isn't either. I told her that I wasn't going to change my mind, that I wasn't going to feel uncomfortable at my own wedding. He would have been at all the important things she went to. She said that she had to do what she felt right and isn't coming to the wedding at all! So i had to get a new MOH and bridesmaid. Do you think I was wrong?

I don't think you are wrong at all. This is your day and you have the right to not feel uncomfortable at your own wedding.

Wow I am so sorry to hear that. I look @ it this way, you asked her to be your MOH she should have understood what that entailed before she accepted. And let me tell you it does NOT entail giving you altermatums (hope I spelled it right)!!

I agree wholeheartedly. Too bad she'll be missing out on Sanibel Island. It's absolutely breathtaking!!! Her loss

Re: MOH problems
thank you! I have been feeling bad because I want her in the wedding. But my FMIL says that maybe she used this as an excuse to get out of the wedding. There is a list of things the former MOH has done to piss my FMIL off. My future in laws are paying for the entire wedding.
Good news is I asked one of the bridesmaids I have to be the MOH and she is doing a wonderful job even though she's had it for a week! The stress is gone that I once had!

Re: MOH problems
since she didnt rsvp then its her fault for not letting u kno ...and maybe its best for u if she doesnt comes...besides u dont need her there...I always tell fh the only person that needs to show up is u screw everyone else ur marrying fh not her so i wouldnt even worry about it...its a destination wedding she didnt have to make it harder for.....itll be great!!!!

Re: MOH problems
i can't beleive she would insist on bringing someone when 1) she responded only 1 guest ....and 2) knowing someone else is paying???? i could never say 'hey either he's coming or i'm not' to my friend!! You're better off without someone like that there!
