So, I have a problem with my maid of honor. SHe is my best friend, and has been since i was like 8 years old. I love her to death. If you would talk to her without seeing her, you would not picture her the way she is. Her personality does not match her appearance at all. She has a buch of peircings and tattoos. She also has funky hair and wears her make-up like she is ready for halloween.
because of this, I can not trust her to get her hair done nicely and do her makeup nicely on the day of my wedding. I know she will come sticking out like a soar thumb. therefore, I am making all of my girls get our hair and make up done together. She is not very happy about this, and wants her friend to do her hair....but, i cant trust her.
Also, she has this huge, ugly tattoo right in the middle of her chest...and i dont want that in my pictures and there is this tattoo make-up cover up..
i just dont want to seem like a bridezilla...
am i being too selfish??

i don't think you're being a bridezilla at all.. it is your wedding, and your photos will be there forever, i don't blame you if you don't want her to show up w/ wacky hair.. as for the tattoo im afraid theres nothing you can do about that. sorry!

ummmm this is a hard one.. i know its your wedding and YOUR pictures but she is who she is and she is your best friend.. with or without the big ugly tattoo... i dont think i would ask her to cover it up.. its like asking her to change who she is for your wedding. i agree with you on the hair and makeup though.. what if you just pick a dress for her that covers her chest?

I have to agree with Danielle, I think its fine for you to have the girls get the hair and makeup done in the same place, but the whole tattoo thing thats part of her. I know i could never and would never ask anyone in my BP to cover any of their tattoos

i agree with the other girls. she is who she is. maybe you could ask her to tone it down......but i wouldnt be comfortable asking her to totally transform for the wedding.

I totally see your point and understand where you are coming from. I think picking a dress that covers is it a great solution...without insulting her. And the hair/makeup is a common request...so she should suck that up
