I have a bit of a problem- I haven't seen any MoH or BM dresses that I have really liked- both my MoH (who lives in Queens) and BM (who is OOT in Nashville, TN) are on the plus size and also petite. I am looking for gowns that are either long length or tea length and in lavender. I'm also looking for them to spend no more than $150 on the gown- I know this is hard but I don't want to burst their budget. I've looked at David's Bridal but I haven't seen anything that I really like - they told me that they don't want anything strapless.
If anyone can help I'd be greatly appreciatvie
TIA

Re: MoH/BM Dress Dilemma
you can look at different designers websites and see if there are stores near them that sell the dresses so they can go try them on themselves. Jordan and jasmine have really nice and affordable dresses if u wanna see the websites.
Thanks ladies - going to check out the sites after my boss leaves to go somewhere
Also Megan thanks for the FM as well.

Re: MoH/BM Dress Dilemma
I have basically the same problem though i haven't really started looking for dresses yet. My sister/NOH will not wear sleeveless but will consider a shawl if they can pin it on.
I know in the past when I've been in weddings the problem was also finding places to try on dresses. I refused to buy a dress without trying on.
Two more designers, Davinci and Emme (like the plus sized model).

Alfred Angelo also has a great selection, and a lot of the dresses are very affordable

Heres a couple that are under $125 and come in lavendar
I would rec. that you check out nordstrom.com, as they have a lot of pretty BM or BM-esque dresses for great prices!

Re: MoH/BM Dress Dilemma
I found some made by Alfred Angelo and also Davinci Bridal -- now to find a store that carries the ones that I like- gonna have MoH try them on and then order them cheaper on the net once we get the sizes.
Thanks again ladies! Soon I might acutally have a poll narrowing it down.. lol

Try The Wedding Center in Commack, I wouldn't buy there but they have a large selection of plus size dresses to try on. I think thats the first place my sister and I are going.

I have one very similar to the second dress with sleeves in Victorian Lilac (which is close to lavendar), I'd be willing to sell it dirt cheap...just a suggestion.
Prob won't do you any good since it's only one dress but still.

Wow I am starting to feel like a pig in mud over this- I was just telling my FMIL last night that I couldn't find anything that I really liked.
