In general, how much should you spend on gifts? I have no idea.
I've been in several weddings but have no clue how much they spent on me. I want to do something nice but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg.
Any recommendations?

thankfully we have only 4 bridesmaids, and four groomsmen ,2 flower girls. we already got the girls' gifts, and spent probably $80 on them. We bought: cosmetic bags, lotions, fun socks, coach wristlets (tanger outlets), and I made the necklaces and earrings (swaroski crystals). the flower girls: build-a-bear bride outfits, wedding coloring books, barbie stuff (target $1 section). We're still thinking about the groomsmen. Cuff link? Sports stuff? Who knows!

I was wondering this information myself. If i had to guess for myself. i would be spending $30-40 on each girl, but i only have 4 girls in my party.

I have 9 girls in my party and Im planning on spending about $30-40 each! It is def alot of $$$ but that's the consequence of having just about all of your friends stand up there with youat the altar ....(probably should have thought of $$$ of the gifts before I asked all of them, but live and learn!)

My main problem is 2/4 I was already in their bridal parties and they got me really nice gifts, but I have no clue how much they spent, one I will be in party if she ever gets married, and the last is my FSIL so I don't really know her at all.
I know I need to spend around the same amount on all of them, but more on my MOH. UGH I'm feeling poorer by the minute.

I've been in bridal parties that think have spanned all monetary ranges! I've decided $$ doesn't matter---the thought does! If it's a thoughful, personal gift, the dollar amount is irrelevant. *** Just an idea---my SIL got us gift certs for out updos! That was great! Matbe mani pedi certs!

I only have 4 girls in my party - I spent about $80 on the BM's and $120 for MOH

I have 9 girls so I am spending $50 on each and $100 on my MOH
I'm spending about $85 per BM, and about $110 on my MOH's

I had 4 bridesmaids and 1 MOH. I thought I spent about average on them, but after reading all your posts, I may have gone a bit overboard!!! I spent over 150 on each of them (they all got the same thing including MOH). But they all live out of state and had to commute several times for fittings and functions, their dresses were almost $400 before shoes, and each got their hair and makeup done, so I felt obligated show them my appreciaton by getting them nice stuff.

Im spending 100 (hopefully) on each BM I am paying for my MOH's hair and makeup, plus maybe 200 on her on top of that.
BM's pay for their dress...and their hair....and chip in for Bachelorette party.
my MOH deserves it., shes paying for my shower, dress AND contributing to the Bachelorette party!

I've gone overboard as well! I wanted to get them something special so I went to a jeweler and got them real pieces instead of costume.

I spent about $200 on each girl. I only have 1 BM & 1 MOH so I was able to go a little overboard. Also, they are going away for the weekend for my Bachelorette party, staying 3 nights in a hotel for our wedding and both planning my shower so they totally deserve more if I could afford it.
