MOM drama already?!!!!

ok so.... I want my bm's to wear BLUE, not sure what type of blue, but I want blue, hence the winter wonderland theme!

The day I told FMIL about us getting married, she texted me with “I know it’s your moms choice first but I would love to wear a dark blue”
Now this was before I even said the girls are wearing blue!

who is she to choose her color ALREADY???!

SOOO last night im talkin to my mom…. And I told my mom that the girls are going to wear BLUE etc….

So my mom says “oh that’s funny because I was thinking of wearing blue”

UM NOOOOO –

Not for nothing BUT NO!!!!!!!

So I was just emailing with FH's sister and shes like “yea my mom wants to wear navy blue”

So I just wrote her and said “well she CAN'T wear blue bc the girls are wearing blue, and now my mom wants to and im not letting her wear blue either”

Help! How do you deal with situations like this?

Am i being stupid???

oh my FMIL i think flipped (not in front of me) when i told her my mom went with blue. I didn't care - I just don't want anyone wearing white or ivory. that's all i was adamant about.

i wanted to save my bridezilla moments for things that really mattered. LOL.

I'll tell ya - I was dead set on navy blue for my girls until I found this dress and it just looked amazing in this color! They had it in navy too, but IMO it just didn't do the dress justice. And teal looked good on my whole BP, from my tan MOH to my pale BM's! LOL Just find your girls dress and go from there...

i had the same problem except i had mom, FMIL and stepmom all wanting to wear blue, while i had aready chose the color for my MOH (indigo).
i had a hissy fit with all three, i told them no blue, no purple. needless to say mom bought a brown dress, hated the color then bought a blue dress when i was out of the country (that she looked amazing in).

FMIL bought a purple dress. she called me when she was at the store saying she loved the dress and just wanted my final approval. I said yes thru clenched teeth and bltched to DH about it afterwards. He stupidly mentioned something to FMIL and she came to me upset and crying that she did something wrong. I felt so bad.

Stepmom bought a black dress and was happy until she found out the other moms were wearing blue/purple.

In the end: they all looked spectacular. they were happy with what they wore. and the colors actually looked really nice together with my indigo!

Dont worry about what they are going to wear. its just extra stress you dont need. I wish i didnt stress so much about it because in the end, they all ended up doing what they wanted to do anyway.
