My mom hates every idea I come up with. I am trying to find unique things for placecards. I told her some great ideas (some of which I got from an old LIW thread) She called everything cheesy! I can't take her! Does anyone have any other cool ideas for place cards?
FMIL was the same way with so much stuff. I have very different tastes from her, and we disagreed about alot of stuff. Eventually we were able to work it out.
My mother is driving me crazy too...she constantly picks apart my ideas. I am sick of fighting with her and I don't care anymore! As long as FH and I are happy. So you aren't the only one with mom problems.
It's so nice to know I'm not alone...my mom can be wonderful, but whenever I suggest something that she thinks is out of line with her vision of a classy, traditional Jewish wedding, she practically bites my head off! You just have to choose your battles. In our case, our families are paying for the wedding, so compromises are in order.
