Ok so this morning I went to Lombardi's on the Sound and My fiance` loves it and I like it...MY MOM HATES IT!!! HELP!!!!

its your wedding....you should pick what you and FH likes...
what didnt she like about it? to make her happy you should go and look at some other places so you weigh your options...

Do what makes YOU & FH happy...it's your wedding day and you only get one, so don't do things just to please other people...i know its tough when it comes to parents opinions...but just explain to her how much you both like it!

she told me that its only the second place we looked at and that i really should look at other places...it's that she hates everything..the entrance, the ball room the color of it all ...but i'm looking at the view is beautiful the food is phenominal, the price was great and its next to a beach and the ceremony would be so nice outside. she wants me to look at other places...ive been to a lot of weddings and if you ask me all these places look a like.

to start, is she paying for it?? if she is, i think her feelings should be considered, but thats it. Its you wedding not hers. She really shouldnt have even told she hates the place, thats kinda mean. But again, your wedding your choice! I think all this wedding planning is teaching us alll how to put our foot down when its something we feel strongly about. Go for the place if you guys love it, do it! good luck!

i've looked at like 20 places and now made myself crazy!! the more places i looked at the more i expected or wanted from places i looked at! theres always going to be something at every place that is annoying, but dont make yourself crazy!

Mom is not paying...dad is!!! He is like on cloud 9..he wantes what's going to make me happy...parents are divorced but really good friends..soon to be mother in law is fine with what we want...she was conserned with location only at night time...and she didn't like the chandelier..well neither do I...but who looks at it???

I think it depends on if your parents are paying for the wedding or not. If they are footing the whole bill, then I think you need to take her feelings into consideration. Now I'm not saying to give into what she wants because this is your day!!! But maybe you guys can compromise in some way. Possibly, look at a few more places ...... now she can't say that you didn't look at more places and then explain to her that you and FH really fell in love with the place. Maybe you can do something else that she really wants that you were not crazed about to equal it out somehow.
But if you guys are paying for the wedding yourself, then I would just go for it. It's your money, your wedding......do what makes YOU happy! HTH!

try Lands End...I am getting married there...its in Sayville...on the water...or Chateu La Mer in Lindenhurst or Crescent Beach CLub in Bayville...
there are a bunch of places...but Villalombardis on the sound is beautiful!!!!

Thached Cottage Centerport (northshore no boats)
West sayville CC (South Shore, boats in the distance, Beautiful at night u can see fire island all lite up, i was going to name my tables after the places on fire island if we picked this place, but FH didnt love it, but i did)
Lands End Sayville(South Shore, ferry leves off shore, nice view of bridge)
Riveria Massapequa(south shore, not to sure on boats)

lands end could be a possibility...to go check out cheteu la mere is out...he doesn't love it... riviera was a shot down idea... I think I will just elope!!! cresent beach club i know too many people who got married there and want to do something a little different.

Who is paying? But that still should not really matter. I was going to say maybe she hates the price and doesn't want to say it if she's paying the bulk. But ultimately it your day and should get what makes you happy and no one else.
