i am going dress shopping soon for the first time and would love for mom and step mom to come. i am very close to bothand want both to be there, but they do not get along. would it insult my mom to ask my step mom and would it insult my step mom not to ask her to go?

Why don't you go with both separately. It may take more time, but that way no one is insulted. Take a trip with your Mom and go on a second outting with your Stepmom.

i know my mom would be so imsulted about dress shopping without her- especially if i found THE dress and she wasnt there to cry and have the expereince

i made two appiontments just to look and i am already bringing my mom and FMIL so i think its right to ask my stepmom. i will talk to my mom about it first

I would check with your mom first. I had the same situation when I was looking. Turned out, when I asked my mom she didn't mind at all if my stepmother came. Feel her out !!

I would do a day with both.. I really wish I was actually in your situation. I dont have any mom to take me.I am not close with my mom- my dad has had custody of us since I was 12.. my mom is not even coming to my wedding! Im on civil terms with her but not close at all. and my stepmom and dad are divorced and shes just an evil woman. my dad didnt have luck..
anyway, my sister fills in as my mom...
i got off my point- sorry my wedding is in 28 days and Im a little emotional!!!

thanks for the advice. i really love both and i wish they were on good terms so it wouldnt be weird. and i know this expereince means so much to both of them
