MOMS! Do your kids give you anything for Valentine's Day?

My MIL is a widow. I thought it would be nice to give her a little something because I know she always gives DH $20 every V-Day. But, he says he thinks it's weird because he's her son, not husband. (he is always more than happy to give her a SUPER Mother's Day gift)

But, I know that every year, I give my Grandma a mini box of chocolates...

You are wonderful to want to do so. I don't think it's ever wrong to be thoughtful or kind to someone else - under any circumstances. As for Valentine's Day, it doesn't have to be just for sweethearts. Two of my three sons always give me chocolates. When I taught 3 grade, many of my students also remembered me with small boxes of candy or flowers. I will never forget their smiles as they brought me their gifts. With the appropriate card from both of you, I think it would make her very happy on a day which is probably flooded with memories of her husband and is probably quite lonely for her.
