MOMS group in Queens !
Hi Ladies...
I recently joined a moms group that I found out about in the paper that I pick up at BAbies R US.

Anyway, I joined the chapter in my area. Its a great club. IT kind of reminds me of a sorority, but its all moms. They have a meeting every month so that everyone can keep up with anything they missed. They have luncheons with all other chapters, I believe annually.
On a daily basis, they have things like
-Trips to the Zoo
-Trips to Chucke Cheese
-Lunch at the Mall
-Playgroups at member's homes - members volunteer to host playgroups, everyone gets involved, they either serve lunch or everyone brings something, whatever works for the group.
-Moms nite out dinners...
and lots more....
-The membership fee is $20 per year, (they are very conscious of our dollars, since we are (most of us are) SAHM's.
-YOu can join even if you are a working mom ! They are also evening events, and again, THE MEMBERS create the calendar, so any ideas you have are welcomed !
I thinkits also great that they are supported by this International Club, and its not just a random group of people looking to come to your home ! LOL.
ANYWAY
My sister is starting a chapter in Queens (Forest Hills/Middle Village area).
If anyone is interested, let me know. She has been communicating with the president of my chapter and with the 'main office' to get this chapter started.
If you are in Nassau, it shouldnt be too far for you either. Im sure get-togethers will be spread out, as the group gets bigger.
FM me if youre interested, and i'll pass your info along....
Our chapter grew by leaps and bounds, its about 30 of us, and they had to split the chapter and started a sis chapter on the south shore..
