Re: Moms of toddler boys.. ?'s for you...
Now that my son has hit the *gulp* Terrible twos, I find that I am having to re-baby proof, over and over... He's so smart that he learned to undo most of the safety devices in the house.... He is artistic, he fingerpainted with steaksauce on my ivory carpet a couple of months ago... A couple of weeks ago I watched him as he climbed and UNLOCKED my front door... Then the chain lock too!!!! Needless to say I have since re-arranged my furniture, and changed the doorknob safety guard to another!!

Terrible twos!! Just wait until you hit three!!
Lets see - we could start off with my little man falling IN the toilet first thing this morning... ETA: Arms first!!!!! Do I need to go on?? LOL
Today we went to see my friend who's due any day and he said, ' Where did your belly button go? Why is your belly so big? Does the baby eat your belly button? I know what happens.. The baby grown and grows until it pops out of your mouth!' I couldn't hold it in after that one.
They get into SO much mischief but are also so much fun!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the funniest thing I have ever heard!!!!!!!!!!!
My son scrutinizes everything, so when he talks in sentences I am kinda worried.. LOL.. I will be expecting him to say something like his dad would.. 'hm.. so you're pregnant, that means youre gonna be a mom.. You dont know what youre in for lady, labor, delivery and a kid like me!' LOL...
He knows when hes doing something he's not supposed to now REALLY well... He come running with his hands out stretched... '--A hug.... Ma-ma...--Hug? (and sometimes) Kiss?'
He also learned to screw and unscrew things REALLY early-- (IE in order-- bottles, sippy cups, peanut butter, condiments (steaksauce), and soda.) I had to change the lock on my fridge, he's figured out two different safety latches!!!!!!!!!!!! He wears me out... hes NOTHING like my nieces were.. (I had a big part in raising them)...
So how do you protect you home against them when they are learning to pee standing??

I worked with him in the summer and we spent a lot of time outside?
No seriously he picked it up kinda nice.
I forgot to add, today at Kohls Gabe and I were on line and he said something like ' Come on lets get a move on ladies!'
OMG - I was mortified. I know now he must listen to me when I drive. Its not very pretty.

OMG!!! I would have died!!!!!!!!!
I mean on of the reasons he could be into so much mischeif is because of my husband and BIL... My BIL comes to visit and teaches him to stand on the couch while my bil is on the floor and then makes Alex pile drive him!! Boys.. I dont think they ever grow up... lol The pic on my avatar is of my son in the Hooters curbside to go spot with HOOTERS girls in the back seat!!!!!!!!!! LMAO My DH and BIL came home with that pic and I was mortified!!! Now I think its funny as heck!!!
OMG, thats funny. My brother set my son up for a picture once with an empty beer bottle and a remote control. Men

I don't have a toddler boy but I have a toddler girl. See my post about the Desitin. She just had a party with it last night. She painted her face, pajamas (right after her bath) and her carpet in a matter of maybe 2 minutes. I laughed at first..but...then I was crying trying to clean it. I know it's only the beginning......

My boss has a four year old boy and when he was two he was definelty a terrible two. Painting the whole house with finger paint (walls, rug, couch, tv, etc), 'washing' his hair with gum so bad that he had to get his head shaved, locking us out of the house, getting his head stuck inside a toy drum & having to call the fire dept. So yes I think toddler boys definetly keep you on your toes.
