She asked me how I'll use the ladies room in my dress. I tried to explain that because I'm using a high-waist shaper that rises higher than the bottom of my corset, the corset has to be undone and redone, or I can't get the shaper off and on. This makes it pretty much the same as getting undressed and redressed. I also explained that some brides have bridesmaids hold their dress. She didn't believe me. Am I wrong about all of this? More importantly, has anyone used a high waisted undergarment with a Maggie Sottero corset back and been able to take it off and on under the corset?

Is your high shaper Spanx? Because they have a crotch cutout in them...so your girls can hold your dress if you have to pee.
For me, I don't know if it was nerves or just the excitement of the day, but I didn't pee once! My friends have not been as lucky though...I had to help my friend change her tampon.

yeah..i was wondering how i would be able to visit the ladies room once i had my gown on...even w/ spanx..i have to take it off before going, even though they have that hole thing.. haha

I should have won Friend of the Year for it!!!! But the poor thing was so frazzled and upset she had her period on her wedding day and her dress was sooo complicated, a friend's gotta do what a friend's gotta do. Ahhh, the joys of being a MOH.

My moh came with me but i didn't need her. I just flipped my dress over my shoulders and went about my business. I am the type of person who has to pee every ten minutes and even with drinking heavily I only had to go a couple times during the whole day. I second looking for the split crotch spanx. My mil had them for my wedding so she didn't have to undress to use the bathroom.

I had a Maggie Sottero gown and peeing wasn't a problem. Only had to go once and when I did my wonderful bridal attendent held my gown up for me. At first I felt wierd but she assured me that she helps all her brides pee. Def upped her tip after that

Holy smokes, I go away for a few hours and I get a whole second page of responses!
Like some of the previous posters, I am suspicious of the split crotch spanx. They're exactly what they sound like - spanx with an extra opening. I'm not sure how well that works. Or if I'm entirely comfortable with it.

Someone in the reviews said that they were able to pee with the dress without help by sitting backwards on the toilet. Not sure if it'll work for your particular dress...but it could.
I'm going to try that, but I'm glad that my sister and I are pretty comfortable with each other (I know I made her maid of honor for a reason!)! There is no way that I will go all day without peeing...there's a good chance I won't last an hour!
