Moms that had c-sections...

Original post by kptoys

Are you going to have a repeat or are you going VBAC?

Also - How big is your scar? I know people that say theirs is the size of their pinky but mine sure isnt. Mine is about 5'

Despite my shelf, I too would opt for the c-section again. Easy for me to say, as I never went through labor (that must stink - going through the whole thing and then still needing the c-section!)

I had the option to schedule mine at 39 weeks(baby B was breech) and my water broke the day prior. My regular DR was not on , and the one who was gave me the option as he specialized in breech delivery. There was no way I was risking going through labor to deliver one ******lly and then having a c/s with the other!

I'm so surprised how many would have the c-section again - I don't know what labor and natural delivery are like but I do know that the recovery was horrible after my c-section - I was still in pain 4 days later... am I the only one?
I remember screaming for the nurses to help me up and when I got half way up I screamed to let me back down
I don't know if I would want to experience that again - I know a lot of people who had nice labors and quick del. and super quick up on their feet two hours after the birth -

Honestly, I didn't think the pain from the c/s was too bad. As soon as they brought me to my room and got me out of bed to go to the bathroom, I sort of took off before the nurses (and pulled out my IV - now that HURT) The next day I found it awkward to get in and out of bed and it did hurt, but nothing unbearable (and the percoset wasn't too bad either). I think I was just happy to be able to breathe again! JMO

I would have a repeat C. I was in labor for 23 hours got to 9 cm and even started to push. I experienced all labor has to offer except the pushing out part. Honestly I could do without that. I would perfer another hole in my stomach than feeling that again purposly! I already have one scar from the surgery why would I want to risk another one in more personal areas!?

I was up and about the next day. It felt strange and not too good but as Kaycee said the percosets were not half bad!
