Mom's this '06-er needs your help.

My mom is young and beautiful, but she is also very overweight and on the short side (5'3'). she wants to find a dress that is not too matronly, but still flattering for her figure. she is consumed with her weight, and does not want to go trying on dresses b/c she's been trying to lose, but has not lost 'enough'. I think b/c of her weight, she is also very averse to alterations and such.

we live in BROOKLYN, but will travel if need be. I want to take her to a place where she can try on dresses that make her look (and more importantly FEEL) as beautiful as she is.

Can some of you lovely moms point me to a place to shop for her?

also, she has wide width feet- do you know where we can find some lovely (yet comfortable) shoes.
