Happy December girlies, Since its the holiday season I thought I wold make todays question about the holiday........
What are you buying for FH? Are you spending less because of the wedding?
I have no clue what I am getting him yet but we are def spending less this year we set a limit of $50 each which for us is really low, we usually spend btwn $500-600 each year so trying to keep it at $50 will be nearly impossible this year

we usually spend alot too, but with the economy and wedding, we decided to scale back
what we're doing is dinner and a comedy show (there's a comedian i'm dying to see) in the city next week and then my office christmas party is at a hotel so we're going to spend the night and do massages
we'll also prob have something little that each of us can open on christmas but nothing major

I have no idea what to buy FH yet. He's the type that when you ask what he wants, he says he doesn't need anything. He doesn't know the difference between want and need lol. We are also setting a $50 limit for each other and everyone else we need to buy for.

We are skipping christmas presents this year and buying eachother our wedding bands..... Normally I spoil him so that will have to wait until next year

We usually spend alot on each other but this year we thought we wouldnt even do it. But thats not happening. We couldnt do it. lol So I know so far imgetting him the authetic All Star Yankee Jersey with the stadium patch. Probably new sneakers. Not sure what else. But i know he will love that. I might get him the blackberry too. WE SHALL SEE!

Well I am not working this year because I am working 24-7 on school to get through it as quickly as possible and change careers. So I told him not to spend a lot on me because this year I can't really get anything for him. Besides I would rather save the money for our honeymoon or for work on our house. So I told him that I want my kitchen fixed and painted with a red bow on it. (our cabinets have to be replaced, we didn't realize how bad of shape they were when we walked through the house.)

We're definitely scaling back because of the wedding. We usually spend a lot at Christmas on each other and our families, since we're both Christmas freaks. This year he really needs new sneakers, so I'm gonna try and find a nice pair. He's really picky though, so it won't be easy. He's getting me a new Juicy suit. Keeping it low key!!

We haven't discussed getting more or less for each other. I bought him the Wii. So I'll probably buy some games to go with it. His birthday is a week and a half before Christmas so I have to think of something to get him lol. I'm going to get him boat shoes because he works on boats and he can't wear his sneakers/work boots on them. I'm thinking of getting him Jets tickets too...not sure yet.

We said we would scale back, but I'm having a hard time sticking to it. Also, every time I ask him what he wants, I get 'playstation 3' so that's no help at all.

Personally, I'd rather just skip gifts and get a couple big (price-wise) things donw instead, like rings or honeymoon...but FH is sorta sad that we're not 'doing xmas' so I think we'll probably still do it and just try to spend less than usual...
I sorta wish he goes, 'You know what? Let's just book the honeymoon and I'll buy us the wedding rings..' haha Anyone think that'll happen by chance???

instead of buying each other tons of gifts we are buying 2 plasma tv's to replace the boxy ones.
Hopefully i get some $$ back from selling my HD one...anyone looking to buy a tv?! ahhahaha

We aren't really doing Christmas at all in my family in light of what is going on with my Stepdad. FHs parents will be in Argentina for Christmas so this year will be a total bust. I will still get him something (especially since his birthday is 4 days before Christmas!) but it definitely wont be as big as usual.

Yes, definitely spending less this year due to the wedding and also since we're house hunting. The economy and job outlook isn't helping much either.
