i may be wrong, but i think it is a bag the bride carries around... usually is pretty and white, so she has a place to put all of the cards and 'money' when guests hand them to her...

The money bag is an Italian tradition I believe.
It is a white satin bag that the bride carries around the dance floor and all of the guys she dances with tradionally put a few bucks in the bag.

I don't think the idea is to carry around (It would look like you were trick-or-treating for $ ![]()
) I used my mom's bag which was pretty cool. I left it in the bridal suite until the end of the night, then when the bridal attendant cleared out the bird cage, I put all of the cards in there. I definitely recommend having something. I was worried that it had to be a 'nice' bag, but really all the guest are gone by that time, so even if you have a not-so nice bag, it would be fine. The money bag I mean is not nearly as bag.. it is actually a small purse like thing... there is an article about the tradition in ummm I have to look but one of the bridal mags.

It is an Italian tradition. It is called a buste bag and it used to collect $ from guests. Traditionally the grandmother of the bride holds onto the bad for safe keeping. My grandmother made mine of my mothers wedding dress.
