I received a money order for a product that I sold on EBAY. While looking at the money order, I noticed she signed it with her name but she didnt put my name on it at all.
Am I going to have a problem with cashing in the money order at my bank?

Re: Money Order
I think the person had to have made it payable to you - can you fill it in?

I think it's ok to fill in your name. That's all the buyer would have done.

Re: Money Order
Well just in case, I emailed the buyer and told her that she made a mistake and forgot to put my address and my signature on the money order. She also didnt put her address on there either. She must of really been in a rush to fill it out.
I may go by the books with EBAY but I told her to either give me another form of payment like to pay my paypal account or I told her I would send the money order back to her and she could fill it out correctly, send it back to me and I would ship her game out to her.
I dont want to be like that, but I also dont want to do anything illegal, or anything that would get me in trouble, you know.
The thing is-that she was rushing me to ship her game out to her cause she has to give it to someone on December 12th. I told her that I couldnt do anything until I received the Money Order. It took her a few days to get it, and to ship it out to me. So I dont know why she messed it up.
This is why I would rather only be paid through paypal, because you get paid right away, and then you can ship the item out the next day.
Im not trying to be a pain in the butt you know...I just want to do whats right.

I agree!! That stupid non-paying buyer person only owes me $2.00. So all this thinking and wondering I am doing (and bugging you guys about ) is over nothing.
I am changing my payment terms because of this. It was a live & learn situation for me.
I am sure if this woman wants the game so quickly she will set up a pay pal account. They are so easy and it's an instantaneous payment - the buyer KNOWS you got the money right away. And so do you!
Good luck with this sale!

Re: Money Order
Yeah I told you that you will only get paid for the auction that you set up....The initial fee.
Im sorry if I misled you into thinking EBAY was going to pay for your auction that the person won.

No I didn't think that ebay would pay me for the auction. I just didn't want to jump the gun on anything. I want to give the buyer a chance to respond, but not hearing anything nor getting a check is annoying. And it's even more annoying because it's for only $2.00

Yeah I know....you dont have to tell me. I have sold around 150 items on ebay and I have had trouble with 3 people not paying...There is always someone that is going to stiff you out of money...and it doesnt make any sense to me.
