i have been loading all our wedding expenses into an app that helps us track it. I'm starting to panic and get heart palpitations at the thought of the cost. Our wedding is about 13 months away and we are paying for a large chunk of it.
Does anyone else feel EXTREME PANIC?

Oh yeah. We had to shell out 4G for something (was emergency) a few weeks ago and I had 3 panic attacks the week after. But then I rewrote our budget and we are so good to go - we saved alot so far and my dad is helping us out so I'm not too worried at the moment. But I know I'll panic towards the 'home stretch'!!! You're not alone! Deep breaths!!!
What app are you using for budgeting - excel or one designed for weddings?

We just started planning and wanted a simple wedding so that our friends and family can share this day with us. But the cheapest possible wedding is still pretty expensive for two young professionals who live in the city, with educational debt already. I can't tell you how many tears I shed over paying for this wedding!!
But then I keep it in perspective. I am trying to cut costs where I can (which is difficult) and realize that this is one day of our life. We want it to be special, but the two important things that make it special is that it is OUR WEDDING and the friends and family we share it with.

we've been saving for a while now - and we budget ourselves very closely to make sure we stay on tack. my father is a crazyman when it comes to budgeting and money...and it rubbed off on me. so when i think about the amount of money we are paying for the wedding - i am amazed that we can actually do it - but i'm not too stressed about it because we're very careful and we're continuing to save save save!!! of course - we still have 8 months to go.....i'm sure i'll be singing a different tune in a few months!!!

Im right there with ya..we are paying for everything ourselves, trying to save for a house, and I have graduate school to pay for. Its very stressful. We almost eloped. I actually feel better knowing that its not just us, that lots of us are going through it..and lots of people have done it before us..and that we will all be ok, one way or another. When its all said and done, and we have beautiful memories and nice pictures..it will all be worth it! hang in there!!!You arent alone!!

we could put a down payment on a home for the amount we are spending on the wedding if i had to do it again i would have a very small wedding or elope

we have 72 days or something like that, & i'm about to lose it!
all the little things really add up in the end. lots of little expenses here & there.
can't wait til this is all over & we're finally married!

PANIC yeah way too many times! It is so crazy and stressful. When I start to think about it and I panic, I end up getting him all worked up..because mainly I want the big wedding. We are trying to budget, but its like when something is labeled for your wedding, the price goes up about 100%. It's crazy and I do feel just like you O'h so many times!

Just merely thinking of what is due a month before the wedding is enough to make me literally sick to my stomach. I'm hoping it's all really worth it or maybe we should have run off to Vegas with my dress!

LADIES THANKS!!! so much for your inspiring words.. its so nice to know we are all in the same boat!! It's easy to forget that sometimes. It WILL get paid for one way or another LOL thanks again!!

Everyday!!!!!!! I HAVE PANIC ATTACKS
It will all work out though....making frequent deposits helps, b/c it prevents us from falling behind.

It is amazing that you stated that. My family keeps saying not to worry about money where as my boyfriend does. We are paying for the wedding (when it happens....) and rightly so, we are concerned. Our family is convinced that we will make the money plus at the wedding. Besides that, I think that it is presumptous to think you would. Thanks for the reality check.
