Re: money trouble....
We have a set amount that both of us HAVE to save each month - no if's or but's about it. Not sure if you guys are doing this also - but it's the only way that I've been able to feel comfortable w/ what we're paying. Of course it doesn't help that we originally were going to get married in June/July and now it's in April - but it's doable. Take a breather, don't eat out (that saves A LOT of money), and enjoy the comfort of your home hah.

Re: money trouble....
do you have any extra time for babysitting/tutoring/dog-walking? people pay big money for that stuff and it's pretty easy work...

Trust me I hear ya. We still owe $20,000. We are actually thinking about cutting down our guest list (again) and cutting out some un-necessary things.

Re: money trouble....
Cindy - both of you would have to tuck away $940 per month from December through July 2011..Can you do that for 8months? Cut back on eating out, nails, shopping, alternate hair appts (bimonthly), NO SOCIAL LIFE, bring your lunch ( no ifs and or buts) etc etc.
Where are you living after the wedding? Put at least $1,500 away from tax refund for housing.
FM ME if you need more advice.

unfortunately you and FH are forking a huge chunk of the bill - u have to talk to your mom.. you are 8 months away and its not the time to worry about what she thinks .. I understand you want to make her happy but you cant cash that to the bank .... you and FH need a game plan fast!

Re: money trouble....
What is your tax return looking like? Since I was paying for grad school and paying my undergrad loans, my refund was like $4000 last year and FH got like $3700 back!
Try the babysitting, doggy walking route. Or can you grab a Christmas season job at Macy's or something and put all that money away?
