This may sound like a stupid question.....but I am completely clueless. Where does one get a monogram. I keep seeing brides that have these monograms for everything such as invites, menues, place cards, etc... Are they designing them on their own on the computer or are they soemthing that you would find at a place where you would buy the stationary?

Re: Monograms
I dont really know where you can get one, but I know alot of the girls have made their own, you can do it in Word using textboxes, if you do a search on monograms I know there is a thread about how to make one. I cant help, I made mine in a completely different random program

Re: Monograms
Monograms are simply your's and your FH's initials... Before you're married you only use your first name inital and his.
For example: Anne and Jake would be A&J
After you're married you use your last name and the last name inital goes in between your's and DH's first name initals.
For example: Anne and Jake Smith would be ASJ
When they're used on 'things' it's just really part of the design. Like on an invitation.
To make one, you could use word. Type the letters you need and then play with the fonts. To get a fancier monogram, you would need a design program like Illustrator (that's what I used for all of my DIY projects) or even MS Publisher. But for a basic monogram, word is fine.
I hope this made sense and helps!
