Montage

Hey Guys,
After going to a wedding this weekend, my fiance and I were REALLY impressed with the video montage the couple had. We never thought that this was something that we would want but after seeing it, we are reconsidering. We were thinking of maybe doing a montage in a smaller scale, like maybe at the rehearsal dinner. Is anyone doing this? and if so, where are you getting the equipment ...the dj? photog? Also, is the couple usually responsible for putting something like that together or does the place providing the equipment put the pics together?? (Sorry so many ?'s)

I am not doing one but you do it from the DJ - they supply the plasmas and do zap shots

Are zap shots pictures that the dj/photog take the day of the wedding and then they put them up on the screen?

We are not looking to do that but rather a sort of slide show in which we run through pics of us as children all the way up until now. Would that be something we would need to orchestrate?

I think we're going to do it at the CH, because we want it on a smaller scale as well

From my understanding both have the ability to do it. My dj actually offered to do the montage for a cheaper price than our photographer. We didn't chose it because it wasn't something we could see at our wedding. The company or videographer, photographer or dj usually has you send pictures to them and then they compose it in order. Its usually a really easy and stress free process. I inquired about it when we booked the dj and the both the videographer and photographer. I hope this helps. FM me if i can help you more.

Hey... both our photog. and dj offer it. we are doing it through the photog. we figured the person working with pics would be better suited. you can ask them to do it but i know plenty of people who did it themselves...as a powerpoint for their rehearsal dinner. It can get as involved as you want.
