Re: montauk weddings
I'm getting married at Gurney's inn. It's very reasonable for what you get. It's about $95-110 a head. It's a beautiful location on the ocean. It includes 10 hord'erves, salad, appetizer, entree, cake, ice cream and italian cookies and coffee. You also get a night free at the hotel. Let me know if you are interested and I'll give you more details. There is also Montauk Manor, Rushmeyer's and Kenny's tipperary inn. I live in the area so you can ask me anything and I'm sure I could help.

Re: montauk weddings
The mail here everyone can read, forum mail is private messages between two people. Also, the forum email is email that is hosted by LIWeddings, and you read it by clicking on the mailbox button above... Regular email you would need to know the person's email address at home.Hope that helps?

Re: montauk weddings
July bride,I booked with Ruthann, who was there last year when I booked she left , which is a shame because I REALLY liked her. Now the new guy Jeffrey is doing my wedding. I've only meet with him once and he seemed very nice also. Do you live out here?

Re: montauk weddings
I am also working with Jeffrey. He is nice (so far)! I live in Smithtown but Montauk has is my favorite vacation summer spot. Do you live in Montauk or in the Hamptons? Who are you using as your vendors? I am using Idle Hour Photography, Spin Around Sound (DJ), Bellarino (video), and I haven't picked a florist yet. Jeffrey recommended two different ones - Whitmore and the Potting something? Do you know these florists? Sorry about all the questions I am just excited that I know someone else that is getting married at Gurney's!

Re: montauk weddings
I live in Sag Harbor, which is about 1/2 hour away. I'm using Verdi(photo), Wild Rose,(Video) and I'm going to try to meet with Spin around Sound next week. What did you think of them? I don't have a florist yet. I know Whitmore's is in Amagansett but I don't know much about them. There really isn't many options out there. There is also Whittendales in East Hampton, they are supposingly very good. It's great to found someone else getting married out there. We should probably trade decorating ideas cause that is one area where I'm lacking.

Re: montauk weddings
We can definitly share ideas! I really likes Tom from Spin Around Sound. I initially called him because he got really good ratings on the boards. He is so nice and really knows what he is talking about. Plus he didn't try and talk me into things I didn't want or need (such as give-aways). He has done weddings at Gurney's before. Also if he is available for that day you can request to have him do your wedding - that is what I did. I am new to the boards so I am unsure about the forum mail - is that how we should be talking? Or regular email?

Re: montauk weddings
We should probably talk by Forum mail. Just right a note on the board that you sent me something. I've been on the board constantly in the last month and a half, I'm sure to see it. I'll let you know if i book Tom next week. I haven't met with anyone else, but he's gotten such good reviews. I'm really getting sick of driving a hour+ to interview vendors.

Re: montauk weddings
I looked onto the Montauk Lighthouse - it is very expensive! I think it was around $700 just to have the ceremony with 6 guests. than it was an additional $10 for each guest after that and they don't set up or provide you with chairs or anything.
