I just booked Ken Hild for photography and Fade to Black for videography and photobooth! So excited! I think DJ is next. How early do people book officiants? I've heard a lot of good things about Pastor April, anyone else you would recommend? We are not religious at all and just want a simple, sweet ceremony where we say our own vows. How many people are DIYing their centerpieces? I still have a year till my wedding but I feel like it's better to book everythng early.

YAY! We're booked with Ken as well!! I'll be DIYing the centerpieces as well - candles mostly. Our wedding isn't until the END of 2014, but our wedding date is becoming popular (12.13.14) so we booked the 3 big vendors- venue, photographer, DJ within the first 6 weeks of being engaged. Our friend actually got ordained for us to do the ceremony... its not expensive at all and totally legit. Maybe you could think of someone who would do that for you?

So exciting! We're using Fade to black as well; I couldn't be more excited- I love Gil, he's such a nice guy and the films are fantastic.

Thanks! Yea, Gil and Ken are both really awesome. I'm so glad I used this website to get all my ideas, so far the recommendations have been working out really well. Thanks again for the great info!

Congrats on the checks! You can never book too early because all the good, popular vendors book fast so I suggest booking who you really want asap and everything else a little at a time. Fh and I aren't religious so we're not worried about finding an officiant, but like you, we're beginning to look into it. Happy hunting!
