More DJ meetings -

More DJ meetings -

Hi everyone! So, I have a couple more DJ meetings lined up:

Bravura showcase and appointment and
Body Rock Entertainment (recommended house vendor at my RH)

I have heard a lot about Bravura, but not as much about Body Rock . . . anything I should know? TIA!!!

i heard body rock was good-they're rec. by my rh too..

the thing is that i want a very simple dj/mc package (i dont need lighting or anything like that) and they were a bit high for me

Yes, I think we are looking for the same thing in a DJ/MC. . . so far I've met with:

Tommy's Tunes
Long Island Sound
5 Star Entertainment
FM Entertainment
After Hours Entertainment

I don't have much stamina left for this. . . There are so many dj companies . . . It amazes me how different the prices are at each, esp. for lighting.

Have you given any thought to a band?

wow! lots of companies! omg. Carla, when you are done your search can you FM me packages/pricing on these companies? We are still tryin to figure out photo/video...but DJ is next.....

Carla,

I went to a wedding in August that used Bodyrock. The dance floor was packed the whole night, and if I remember correctly, they weren't crazy involved MC's.

Another friend of mine is using Bodyrock this July. I can ask her about pricing if you'd like.

Laura, as always, to the rescue. That would be great, if you don't mind. We are meeting with them in two weeks, but it would be good to know in advance.

I highly.. HIGHLY.. recommend After Hours. Phil is a great DJ. He's very energetic and definitely knows his stuff.

I'm Puerto Rican and my family loves to dance, so having a DJ that knew good Spanish music was a key component to the DJ I was looking for. Phil knew all the four major genres of Spanish music I needed before I even mentioned them! He even was naming off techno groups that me and my fiancee love.

Not to mention, his prices are extremely reasonable!

How was FM? I am going to see a showcase of theirs on Sunday.

my bro used Body Rock but that was about 5 years ago. that was their favorite vendor. i remember the dance floor being packed so they must've done a good job lol

i booked with Bravura and I loved them! tonight i saw them at the WM showcase and i passed by and were soo sweet they said hello to us and so we chat a little bit with our dj and mc i am soo happy i booked with them good luck

delayed response - the FM showcase is very interesting - its nice that they are so personal and you really get the feeling that they tailor the event to you. The showcase we went to was odd because FH and I were the only ones there!! We do like them! GL! Interested to hear your impression next week!
