More good news: Royce Ring called up

This is more good news. They designated Matthews for assignment... and they called up Royce Ring.

Ring is another one of their hot prospects. He wasn't as lights out as Heath Bell was... but this guy from what I hear has 'closer mentality'.

Now if they can only dump Manny Aybar... we would be all set.

I love this youth movement they are doing in the bullpen. I wouldn't be too thrilled about youth in the starting rotation right now... but youth in the bullpen is a good thing! They can't be worse than what we already had.

I've been curious to see what he has since they got him for Roberto Malomar.
