Hmmmmm....I see what all of you mean after re-reading it again

What I had really meant was....
on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the most important to 1 being not as important)....in planning your wedding.

10...Reception
9.....Dress
8.....Honeymoon
7.....Photography
6.....Video
5.....Band
4.....Hair and Make up
3.....Transportation
2.....Cake
1.....Party Favors

I just read it too, and I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking?
You mean, what did I cut back on in order to pay for my wedding? Eating out and clothes... is that what you were looking for?
Or, what I cut back on ON The wedding? I didn't spend a LOT of invitations or my accesories- shoes etc..

Little confusing but good topics none the less...

I am cutting back on eating out and clothe as well and for the wedding we are saving on invitations, flowers for the tables ( i am doing my own centerpieces that saved me a bunch).

To save,
Food is a luxury. All bills need to paid off as quickly as possible to lighten the load next year to make payments and pay for the wedding. So.. Ive had peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and soup for weeks now as lunch.

We time our lives around my paycheck for gas and necessities. It's a messed up way to live but we only have to see my wedding stuff to know it's worth.

From the wedding,
We save by using the centerpieces the hall uses, the hall takes care of a lot, food, cocktail hour, wedding, flowers, cake and location for photos. Got a package deal for photos/video & flowers (bo-k etc). Haggled to bring down the cost of my dress, got only what I needed for a DJ, UTILIZE EBAY !!! Major savings there.

If your question is geared towards wedding stuff, I cut back on invitations, flowers and I completely nixed limos.

If you mean everywhere else in my life, I cut back on shopping big time, eating out, etc. So sad, I need new boots and I just don't have any money!

Transportation... we aren't even renting limos. The hotel we are staying at is only a few blocks from the hall, and I will get dressed at the hall so can't ruin anything in the car.

Cake is included in cost of catering. Favors will probably only cost $300-400.

The reception, photography and our honeymoon were the most important to us and I just shopped around for everything else.

if I could give an order...this is what I would probably put...
