ok this is what i picked, obviously its a sample so not our names...but my question is, is there any way to put the mothers names along with the fathers for each set of parents, and it not to get too cluttered and fit

Re: more invite wording help
the girl who has the beautiful invites w/ silk pockets has both of her parents names... but im pretty sure its just her parents? i'm afraid if you are including 4 parents names and your names it's too much, and takes away from you and your FH too much. i think it's especially overwhelming in your layout though...
i dont know

Re: more invite wording help
I think it might get too crowded if you say Mr Tom Jones Mrs Sandy Jones and Mr Jim White Mrs Sally White
Usually it is listed as Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jones unless divorced/seperated.
You can do it but I have seen it where all the names of parents and step-parents were listed and it was very busy!

If you take out the quote you would be ok space wise but I still think it might be too much unless you did
Mr. Tom and Lisa Jones
Just keep in mind (I don't know your families marital situations) but my cousin did it with her parents listed seperately and for weeks we thought they were getting divorced -- they weren't it was just what she picked.

i think the problem is that it's top-heavy with too many names all cluttered together. if you did the 'son of _______' i think it would work better because it wouldnt be
'Mr. Adam Smith and Mrs. Betty Smith and Mr. Robbie Heart and Mrs. Julia Goolia
blah blah
Denise Espo
and
Future Hubby
blah blah blah
it's so many names & ands in one spot...
the only thing i would suggest is maybe to do the font really small? then the names have less of an impact?
just the parents names would have 3 ands in a row, which reads kind of funny IMO..
in the end, people (like your family members) are more likely to remember that all of the first names were mentioned than how well it flows, so if this is something very impt to you and them then do it anyway.

I think I am including the mom's names too. Not sure about rules on that but I don't really care - I want them in there. My wording will be the one with my parent's names, then our names, and then 'son of' and his parents names. So I'm planning on writing (not real names)
Mr. and Mrs. George and Eileen Hogan Blah Blah Blah
son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Karen McHale
It will definately be more writing but I don't think it'll look bad. If you think it's important for their names to be on it then I'm sure you can find a layout or font or whatever that'll work

I guess bc it doesnt say Mrs.lisa, yeah it would give that impression, definitely don't want to do that.
Yeah i was thinking of: Mr. Tom and Mrs. Lisa jones

i know both parents would be fine using mr and mrs tom smith but i just personally wanted our moms names in it too.

This could work. I am a little more traditional so I am sticking with Mr. and Mrs. John Smith -- to me that includes my mother as that is what her 'married' name is. But she is traditional too so i don't think she would think of it any other way.

yeah i expedited them, and i have to fax her the wording in the morning. Since i also am getting hand calligraphy she said she will mail me the cardstock that will be used on the box to send out to the calligrapher now and get the addresses now. My problem with the timeline thing was that i have to send out to the calligrapher after so its good that she suggested this.

that's a good idea to send those to the calligrapher! should save you a lot of time. We ended up having Encore address our envelopes in the script of our invites because I loved the way it looked in the sample book. Our invites are due to ship Fri or Monday, and then they will come in addressed. I can't wait to see them.

She IS mentioned ... she is 'Mrs.' in the 'Mr. and Mrs.'
The ONLY acceptable way to put the woman's name on an invitation is to completely omit the titles.
And then you have taken the level of formality of the invitations down a whole bunch of notches. If you are having a formal affair, and you want people to dress appropriately (and possibly even gift appropriately), then I would suggest going with the formal and traditional wording.
It should be either: Mr. and Mrs. George Hogan OR Eileen and George Hogan
It gives the appearance that they are separated or divorced if you list them separately like this: Mrs. Eileen Hogan and Mr. George Hogan

mr. tom and mrs kathy smith-no that sounds weird lol

I havn't ordered invitations yet but so far that is the way I like it best. I like the mr. and mrs. george and eileen hogan better than the mr. george and mrs. eileen hogan
but like I said earlier though I'm really not sure if it's considered 'right'.
