Does anyone know how to go about obtaining the license when your out of town. I read that the license is only valid for 60 days from when you get it and you both have to be present when you go for it. The problem is other then the Friday b/f the wedding, FH and I will not be in NY at the same time when city hall is open!! I have no idea what to do about this!! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Yup - you both have to go together according to the Town of Islip... Maybe take a half a day and both come down and get it done so you don't have to be nervous the Friday before.
yeah..just call and ask..i think you have to get it 24 hr prior to the marriage...
24 hours before. Where are you now? You can get it anywhere in NY state, only valid for 60 days, and you must have it for 24 hours. Both must be there.
Thanks!! Hopefully we'll make it in time!! Imagine being there w/ not license!! I'd just breakdown right there!!

I'm in KY! It is very difficult for us to get to NY during the week together. I'm a little nervous about this! I was hoping you could do it online or something.![]()
