More on Lachey and Simpson

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. Mr. and who-knows-how-long Mrs. Lachey have recently not spent all their time denying she'll take the high road and he'll take the low road. Some of this time has been spent divvying up assets.

For any who've committed the cardinal sin of not reading me Monday, I reprise what I'd printed. I'd heard: They've hired divorce lawyers, already drawn up divorce papers, even actually signed those divorce papers. Ongoing affectionate togetherness shots, repeated protestations of mutual love, muzzling this story is all because they won't harm their TV show. Therefore, since no human alive would confirm what I heard, I thus put my findings in the context of rumor. Chat. Conversation. Tittle-tattle.

That was Monday. TV shows and magazines called to get more since nobody was saying anything. I wouldn't offer more. All I'm saying today is, that as of this minute — late Tuesday — I have heard no shriek. Nobody complaining I'm a dumb, stupid, imbecilic idiot jerk who doesn't know what I'm slobbering about. In fact, there are small, tiny little reports flickering out that they are confirming a divorce settlement has been, in fact, 'executed.'



Here are two more shards of information. One: The lawyers are on the West Coast. So stop calling me on the East Coast. Call your contacts Out There. Two: While I haven't heard if this is a result of gossip about Nick having had a little extra Chia Pet on the side or on the front or wherever he had her — I have heard it was Jessica who commenced the divorce action.

Supposedly. Rumoredly. Allegedly. Possibly.

I don't believe this...i really don't. All anyone has to do is look at the Demi Moore Pregnancy rumors a few months ago...i mean people were saying they knew her due date and looking at pics that showed her to look preggers......

well i just so a picture of her in a very tight fitting outfit so there is NO WAY she is preggers....


ETA - Now Tom Cruise being gay....i BELEIVE THAT!

Well, you heard it there kids, Cindy does seem to have a lot of info. And I have heard this before...that they are 'too professional' to split up now and are waiting untilt he movie and TV show and specials are over...don't want to hurt their pockets. So much for 'waiting' for Mr. Right and all that jazz.

a friend of mine at work is a lawyer and went to school out in LA. his friend is a hollywood lawyer and back in APRIL he told me the whole thing.

i love them. and wish that this wasn't true. but back in april he told me... wait till the end of the summer.

It has been reported a LOT lately that Demi Moore was 5 mos preggo and miscarried. She was out of hte spotlight for a while, until recently.

Although I know there are Nick and Jess fans out there (myself NOT being one of them) it is too much 'smoke' for there to not be fire.

I haven't seen pics of Demi recently, but at one point she did look a little heavier...

I hope not, i truly thought they were going to last. I think that the fact that she is more powerful that he is, has affected their marriage.
No one said marriage was easy, especially in hollywood.

Well I think it was good for her career but it wasn;t looking too good for her until Newlyweds came out..BUT for their marriage I am sure it was horrible

I agree, until they come forth and say it I won't believe it.

Honestly its because of the interest of the public, as proven by this post, that these stories exist. Maybe it is true, I for one hope it isn't. It is sad to see any marriage come to an end. Even celebrities have feelings.
