A co-worker just came up to me and went 'Congratulations!'

I looked at her and she said 'On the baby - great news!'

I told her No, and she goes 'but you can tell'

I said no again

and she goes 'oh sorry, it just looked a little. . . '

I walked away and I'm crying at my desk and hoping no one sees

I'm trying to hard to lose weight, its just discouraging. I didn't realize I looked THAT bad

I just needed to tell someone and I'm embarassed to tell anyone at work.

OMG are you kidding me. First of all even if you were pregnant if you didn't announce it it would be rude anyway. I have seen your pictures and you DO NOT look pregnant. I know its hard to lose weight. I hope she feels like S**t now.

Honest;y, it *****, but I think it has happened to most people at one time or another! A woman i work with was complaining that her back hurt, an elderly woman we work with replied'maybe that's where the baby is' She replied 'Um, no, but maybe that's where the cheesburger I had for lunch is'

this happens to me all the time....I mean all the time.
People who don't even speak english will come up to me on the subway and wish me good luck on the baby.
I now know in many languages what good luck on the baby sounds like.
They say things like--
Is it your first?
Are you working on a little one?
Something in Italian that sounds a hell of a lot like merry christmas.
One time it was a woman from Memphis who dated Elvis.
I am so not joking.
Three times in one day.
This is what I say to my self, I am a happy glowy looking person with a big bust and a little bit of a tummy.
People put two and two together and think I am pregnant.
It's not great, but it's not the same as people saying I look fat.
Pregnant women are pretty.
But I so feel your pain.

I have an issue with people who ask me all the time, no matter how much I try to loose weight and even when I do I have a lower pouch that make me look 3 months preganant....
My mothers friends used to ask me all the time until I just started asking them back: 'no am not, are you?'
I'd say it in public and put them on blast...or just spread a nasty rumor about her....

In reality people dont realize how much this can really hurt, no one knows how much each of us really hurt inside, people are so fkn evil!!!

I hate that lady.. she's so rude.. I hope she wakes up tomorrow and looks like that girl violet in willy wonka and the chocolate factory.. all blown up like a big blueberry!

At my job a woman came over and asked my friend if she was preg, she said no.. but she was relieved it was only in front of me.. then like 2 weeks later she yells out in front of the whole cafeteria (we are teachers) 'LISA ARE YOU SURE YOU AREN'T PREGNANT???' We were like W T F?? So my friend says.. while everyone is looking at her.. no I'm not pregnant I'm just fat.. but I turned around to the other woman and said 'JEN ARE YOU STILL CHEATING ON YOUR HUSBAND??' I thought that was nice of me!
