more on the Cousin

So we are having our wedding at the 3VI its an INN and that is one of the reasons why we choose it.. my aunt is handicap and needs a wheel chair accessible room. TO make it easer on everyone, we paid for her room, that will include my 2 cousins (w/ or with out a date lol) and my 2 aunts. I informed my cousin and told her her all is taken care of. ( we also paid for his parents and grandparents and my parents so it was only fair to pay for another room on my side.)
she sends me an email
'While it was sweet of you guys to offer to cover our room, there really is no need. I know that you guys have a lot on your plate already with covering the whole wedding, so please don't feel as if you have to do this.
All along, we had intended on staying over that night and covering the cost of the room on our own'
I was very insulted by this, FH said just let her pay for it .
Is it me???

I think your Aunt is being nice. I would do the same thing if I were in her shoes. Say its ok, and if she insists, let her pay her own.

Yes, it is just you. Some people get insulted when others insist on paying for something. I'd drop it.

I agree! It was VERY nice of you to do this, but they may feel more of a burden to you than anything else.

I agree as well. You made the offer which was very nice, but I would let it go if they are insisting.

i wouldn't be insulted... shes just being nice... i would maybe even tell her that you're paying for 2 rooms on your DHs side, so maybe then she won't feel as bad.... otherwise, i would just let it go....
