Lyla does not have a middle name, we couldn't decide on one, so we just left it.

Breastfeedign is still a real challenge. I have a baby that seems to be at teh opposite of the textbook 2-3 hours between each feeding. She wants to nurse ALL DAY long, I'm not exagerating. She is attached to my breast!

She'll sleep 1 1/2 hours teh most at a time, and I really can't take it anymore. The frequent feedings (every 1/2 hour to 45 minutes and they last anywhere from 20-60 minutes) is supposed to be part of a growth spurt and it's supposed to last only a few days, but this is almost 2 weeks now. If she's not nursing or sleeping, she's crying and nursing is the only thing will stop her from crying. But, sometimes she (and I) still gets frustrated with latching on and cries about that too.

I have plenty of milk, and for the most part she's latched on properly. She's gaining weight and has tons of dirty diapers, so I'm not worried about my supply.

I've supplemented just a little bit, a few nights a week we'll give a few ounces of formula, and also mix it with pumped breastmilk. I'm exhausted, and there hasn't been a day so far that I'm ready to give up bfding. I'm going to a LLL meeting on Weds to get some support and see what else can be done.
Those pictures were a rare occasion when she was alert and content and not sleeping or eating!

Niha to you for hanging in there w/the BFing. It sounds like it's going well, since your supply is ample! I wish I had the answers about why she wants to feed so frequently. Perhaps she just likes to take her time? Did you ask her pediatrician about it?

I absolutely cannot stop looking at the pics of Lyla - she is GORGEOUS! I love this pic - it brings back so many memories of when Paul was so small...
